Information technology infrastructure technology is being used by an organization to perform compliance and know the measurement of the improvement of the said organization, due to the reason that ITIL allows the organization to establish and produce a so-called baseline that can help in planning, implementing and measuring the elements that an organization can benefit. ITIL is offering a modular approach to each candidate and participant, in which they can obtain an assigned credit value, and upon completion of the modules, they will gain a set of rewards, such as a certification and a number of credits.
